First time autocross

First time today, super fun, got 8 runs in throughout the day..
Me and my buddy were both driving FRS's

Wow that's barely even an autocross, more of a road course. 8 runs is great too. My big problem with autocross is that at least around here you pay $35 and spend at least 6 hours hanging around/working and get maybe 6 runs/about 5 minutes of seat time on the day. I think I'm pretty much done autocrossing honestly.

Its a low cost motorsport, you can't expect tons and tons of seat time.

Pay more and go lapping instead.

It was a lot of fun, I dunno what a typical AutoX should look like? since that was my first, and I dunno how fast one should be either, but I never got out of second

how the fuck do you know which way to turn? those pylons look so confusing!

You know which way to turn based on what direction the horizontal cone is pointing. Everyone goes off course at least once though. When you look out and look ahead you just see a sea of cones.

Seriously. Although most Autox videos look pretty confusing haha, when in reality they're usually pretty easy to figure out when you're actually there.

Yeah Ou do a walk thru first.. And once you drive it it's not bad,
That was my first time and I only went off the wrong way around 1 cone on the very first lap.. It's not bad
