Working on starting fresh with a different tune after having a pro take a look at my logs. Will update on that soon.

Area 27 next week! I'll be ripping the bumper off to work on the air guides around the JRSC intercooler ahead of that event. Perhaps next year I'll spring for a proper hood vent solutions.

I received a brand new tune from DT that is basically undriveable. It coughs and sputters at partial throttle in a much more dramatic fashion that my previous tunes. It's unfortunate since it feels much better otherwise. In general, I'm just disappointed with the whole experience.

I've been super busy and haven't really been driving the car, so it hasn't been something I've had time to really focus on.

I'll likely just go to Drift Office when I get a chance. The whole e-tune thing is actually more time consuming for me since I have to drive out 45+ min to the middle of nowhere to do these redline pulls over and over.

I've heard that the etune process is a pain in the ass. You're car is clean though and done right. You'll get it sorted. So much for this platform begging for forced induction lol

That sucks to not get what you paid for. I can't imagine how many Jackson kits DT has tuned. You would think they would have it down to only needing a couple revisions. Hope you have it sorted out by next season.

I know. I'm sure they know what they're doing. I just don't have the energy to troubleshoot all of it with them right now. I'll either get it sorted, go back to NA, or as said above, go buy a damn Porsche.

Well, I think I found the problem. The cat in my JDL FP blew out. I had barely had this thing on for more than a few hundred miles. I'm disappointed, but I actually only found it when I got under the car to swap the stock FP back on to quiet the car down.

It runs much smoother with the stock FP back on the car. At least it doesn't feel straight up broken anymore. I was experiencing really hoarse cold starts, laggy throttle response (especially when blipping for downshifts), and just a generally rough feeling in the engine for some time now. All seems to be resolved.

I'm just going to take the car to Bob at Drift Office to get a proper tune as I'm not happy other aspects of the tune. Also, I just want to see what this thing puts down. It pulls like a horse with the JRSC/Ace combo.

Next season I'm thinking about sourcing a second hood to run the Trackspec vents on or track days. Anyone have a K1X hood sitting around?

Damn that sucks. I bet JDL would warranty that. Maybe one of their ultra quiet uncatted FP would be a better option.

I would get a non catted front pipe. HKS dual resonated FP might do the trick. Glad your getting sorted. Sucks you had a bad experience with etunes. Moto East did a great job with mine.

They probably would. It isn't the first time I've seen it happen. In fact, I'm pretty sure @kch had the same happen to him if memory serves.

I actually like the sound better with the stock FP. I probably lose a few ponies though.

I need cats for both volume and emissions reasons, else I'd just get the Ace FP. But that said, I like the sound of the stock FP and wouldn't love the rasp of a catless/unresonated FP.

I had a great experience with Zach when he was at DT. My NA JDL and A350 tunes were both rock solid. I'd work with him again in a heartbeat. It's just that driving out to distant areas where I can go 100mph repeatedly is a huge hassle. I'd rather just take it in and be done with it in a day.

Yep, although not nearly as quickly as yours. I think JDL specifically disclaims warranty coverage for the HFCs, though
