It just ensures that one dealership will try to sell you one. But if you weren't first in line or they just couldn't get one, then youre out of luck.

If the car was in larger numbers or not so likely to be high demand (you can still find brand new FRS RS2s for sale) it may not be such a big deal but being only 500 of them and with a very high potential demand these may be a bit tougher to scoop up. I would also be very surprised to hear that anybody was able to get a discount on them.

I went thru Heuberger as they expected to received multiple Yellows, I am currently 2nd on the list. Should be noted that I also put my deposit down in early August. I debated about going thru a Wisconsin dealership, but I wanted to best chance to get one.

Damn Heuberger is all the way in Colorado! hahaha. Hopefully some of the dealers here in Northern Illinois can get a couple Yellows.

I looked at some of the places where Hyperblues got sold and I believe 4-5 were sold in my County from three or four different dealers. Wish me luck boys! :O

So you actually do know what number you are on that "waiting list"

That's good to hear.

Good thinking! Those are the dealers that are most likely to get the Yellow.

Literally says winter 2017 on the site. So guessing Jan/feb

Isn't that just the PP? I couldn't even narrow it down to winter for the Yellow. Just "2017".

AH HA! There it is hidden in the header bar for the link! OK so we have now got it down to about 3 possible months.

Multiple dealers and online sources have stated a March time-frame from Subaru. I personally believe they will be about 3 months after the PP is available. Similar timeframe between the non-PP vs PP time span.

March, April or even May would seem about right. IF the PPs show up in January like they were supposed to.

TBH, this just looks like another "special edition" sales gimmick to me. Unless you're really in love with yellow, I'd just get a regular one and save yourself some coin.

From my perspective it means they finally made a BRZ in a good colour. Even if only a handful of them. I would be all over that thing if we got them here (we aren't) and I was looking for a car.

I am also from Northern Illinois and have a deposit down on a Yellow at Napleton's Subaru of Rockford. I put the deposit down in early August. My dealer spoke with their SOA rep and guaranteed I would be getting mine, he also stated that since they are selling one to me that they were trying to get a second one.

I've not been able to officially order it as of yet, I'll be checking with him tomorrow (beginning of new month) to see if I can. This is from another member who has been able to order his.
