Its slow, because nowadays with the retarded power wars going on, Fast is considered under 5 seconds.....

Quick 5-6 seconds,

Slow = anything beyond 6 seconds.

In the REAL WORLD, unless you're launch this car perfectly (high revs, no torque, shit tires -- not the easiest to do), limit your wheelspin and nail your shifts perfectly, then perhaps you can pull off the times based on the Car and Driver, assuming you're STIG behind the wheel.

All the driver gotta do in the V6 Accord is just mash on his gas and wonder how great his 98.1 mph trap speed as he blow past you.

Oh and that slow IS300 you were talking about? AFAIK, Twins and IS300 have similar trap speed.

They race 6 times and the outcomes are CONSISTENT (depending which car has passenger). Hmmmm.....

Not try to be a ****, guess I'm just butt-hurt from being raped by a rental mustang And who honestly cares about 0-60 times really?
Sorry but your initial response came off kind of condescending. Also, perhaps that IS300 was not stock? Are they racing at altitude? etc. These things all matter. The 0-60 times of the IS300 stock, as tested by numerous sources are all slower than the FRS, stock. All sources show that. Most IS300 I see on the road today, have heavy modifications, at least here in Miami they do, so I would not put money on beating one of them. However, a bone stock IS300 compared to a stock FRS, with passengers who weigh comparable. I guarantee the FRS would win...it may be a marginal win, but a win none the less.

As for the V6 accord, the older V6, one of them had a a 0-60 of 5.5 mph, that would indeed beat our car, the current V6 accord lineup from the past few years either has the same 0-60 time, or slightly worse than our car. I'm sorry but I have to disagree since numerous sources have confirmed the times. Edmunds is a good authority on this as it posts these figures for the direct consumer, not for marketing value. Consume reports ALSO tested the Accords and their times were slower, except the one that had the identical time.

I don't care about the 0-60 time, I care about fact vs. fiction though, and I am reading and researching fact. I'm not pulling these ideas out of my ***

I like my car, I think it's plenty fast and with the few mods I am doing, hopefully it'll be a little bit faster.

p.s. the stock v6 mustangs are faster than our car....so the rental mustang would beat us hands down. It's actually a decently fast car stock. I'd be butt-hurt too, but I know they're faster.

Did you only show me the 1 video where the IS happened to pull past the FRS?

That drive to Mount Ranier through Elbe and of course the actual drive up the mountain...the Twins are just amazing.

FWIW my completely stock FR-S with a passenger beat two Integra GSRs with bolt-ons and solo drivers on a roll. I don't really see the point in comparing our cars' performance with bigger motors.

I have to say I can't wait to see what the 2015 WRX does on the track.

I find it mind-boggling that everyone is comparing 0-60 times with minivans, Camrys, Corollas, 13+ year old Lexus's, Accords, etc. Really?

Our car is not fast. Our car is not even "quick" in my book. Its fun as hell, hugs those corners and I love the shit out of it, sounds great, but it gets walked by my boss's Ram 1500.

If you bought the car to compare 0-60 times with family cars in order to validate your purchase then IDK what to say.

Agree, our car is not fast, nor quick - unless it is around a sharp bend, but nether less.

Fast and quick are relative terms.. I went from a C6 to the FRS..
I wouldn't say the FRS is slow, but it's lack of displacement and TQ make
it seem lethargic in comparison. You have to keep this motor at full boil
To extract its power which isn't always easy in traffic or when caught off guard.
In these situations I can understand all the complaints about this power plant.
I was surprised at how quick this car can be at the track or in the right conditions.. When the chassis and handling work together and allow you to use all of the power it has.. It all works together and is very rewarding and dare I say quick enough..

Yep fer sure ..... that road has just enough "twist" in it to make it much fun for a twin.

The next time you are up that way, I highly recommend this place for lunch/dinner. It beats the heck out of a "scale burger" ......

I agree with that 100%. Just surprised how many people worry about beating a Camry at a red light. Its admittedly underpowered, but I'm still happy I have one of the best driver's cars currently made, which holds its own against the likes of the Cayman and S2k, etc.

Slow and fun. When I add FI it will be fast and fun.
