You would love the Scion TC - the few times I sat in one, with the high belt line I always felt like I was encased in a metal shell like a cockpit.

I've said it before,if the car had at least a manual option,a lot would be forgiven.

Well to be fair, Toyota had to sort of shrink the FT-1 concept design to fit the Z4 chassis. I’m sure that’s oversimplifying in design terms, but I absolutely love what Toyota has done with the Supra design. Leagues better than the new Z4 also.

Buy a snoozefest German design then?! Lol Or spend stupid money for a Ferrari?

Japanese design is purposeful in every detail, and Japanese art is breathtaking. I would take the striking design on the new GR Supra to the boring Z4 all day every day. But that’s what makes having choices so great.

Yeap, Japanese fake vent design is cutting edge.

Actually it is if you consider that "fake vent" are there for aftermarket reasons for cooling modifications. If they made something like that with gt86 it would be a hell lot easier to set up cooling for our cars.

Lol a lot of manufacturers use fake vents and a bunch of other stupid/unnecessary stuff on their cars.

I’m not going to sit here and fanboy over JDM cars or whatever, but to me it’s what looks best. However, I can appreciate the design of an M4 or a Corvette. There’s something for everybody and I’m happy to live in a world where not every car looks the same. Sometimes you can just tell that a car is Japanese or European or American just by looking at it and I think that’s great.

In the end, it’s just a matter of opinion. It’s like music or fashion taste. You’re not all going to like the same thing so no point in debating. Some cars are ugly as fuck though and that’s okay lol

Man, there's only one thing worse than a youtube video by some little db with rich parents who buy him toys to show off with and
that's a kick in the nads with steel toed boots. I hate that I clicked into it to give it a view. Hopefully this fad wears away soon.

something about the new supra still makes me uneasy.

there are people on here that are too afraid to get a header bc "they are still under warranty." i feel like the new surpa is perfect for these kind of people, coming fom factory with all these fake scoops, vents, lips, and diffusers. yet here i sit with a rallybacker widebody kit about to go on my brz, go figure right?

the 86 is pure at heart, a true drivers car. im not denying the a90 is great, its powerful, stylish, not too too heavy, but it still seems fake inside. i mean toyota couldnt even be bother to design it. if it had a 3jz or something crazy thatd be a different story. cant even get a manual.

is it a tuner or an exotic? im still uneasy about it.

Let's keep in mind that the development between BMW and Toyota diverged at a very early stage. I think that's also why it took so long for the thing to come out. While I do agree with you on most of your points, and would never buy one unless it was offered with a manual, I saw it 3 times on the road now, every single time it was in that gorgeous gray, and my head damn near popped off my shoulders. It's not very photogenic imo, but in that colour and in motion, it just looks amazing. There's something very irresistible about it. It does seem to lean towards the exotic side. Very similar to the way the R35 was when it came out. Super powerful, exotic, expensive. The only difference I'm able to afford the Supra and I'd never be able to afford the R35.
