Stock wheels look good all cleaned properly

Well to me it is properly done :P But anyway the brake dust and road gunk built up enough to cause me grief in 2 weeks so after a wash i worked on the wheels and used the spray carnauba that I used on the body on the wheels also. Well they came out great and hopefully the carnauba will make for easier cleaning next time. I just spent about 10 min per wheel and used a cleaning towel and used the water from the car wash bucket to wipe off the heavy build up and then used the spray wax. Liberally sprayed on the wheels to get into all the crevices and wiped with a microfiber towel. What surprised me was the amount of metallic flake in the wheel paint.

To me its kinda like putting lipstick on a pig. Still a pig lol. But if you like the look then more power to you. You cleaned them up nicely.

I don't hate the stock wheels but until I get a set of wheels to my liking I'm not going to let them get all gross. I worked hard for this car.

Awww, my "haters" statement was just meant to be a little banter because, let's face it, and I don't know why, the wheels are quite unpopular. Apologies if I came off crass.

I thought you like the wheels so I guess I jumped on an imaginary bandwagon.

They look great; even better when they're all polished up. Kudos!

No no, I was referencing @Jolt182 that they aren't the best looking but they are not ugly. Wasn't meant towards you Ultra

My thought on them is they look much like wheels on hybrid vehicles.

I'm now on a 10 spoke wheel. Much easier to clean!

Good job on cleaning. Got to keep up on it with the stockers or else it gets brutal. I'll have to buy some of that stuff.

the wheels remind me of the work of an unpaid automotive design intern.

There is an aftermarket wheel, which I can't find now on google, its very similar, but even more gaudy, with the silver spoke part continuing onto the lip. Usually I see them on beat up pos cars.
If those have not existed prior to seeing 86 wheels, I'd probably like them ok, but seeing those first, I keep getting reminded when I look at stock. As much as I don't get excited about stock wheel look, I made 3 years on them, they still look good, so quality is good, but I am glad to switch .
They do look good in one color I think, I just can't get past 2-tone paint job and the black painted ugly "helper" spokes. If it was just the silver spokes, it'd look good.

They look like Matchbox wheels but I like that. To me it brings out the whimsical side of the car.

No go-kart should take itself too seriously.
