Did the RGII's have those indentations on the sides of the spokes?

Heh. They are basically the same wheel as the 57C6 lol. The Advan spokes are a bit thinner though. I already have a set of 18x9.5 57C6 but my offset is 40. It looks like Advan is only doing 45mm in that size, so the GL's will have a bit more concaveness going on.

Overall I'm chomping at the bit for my wheels! Need to come in ASAP. It'd be fun to do a comparison shoot with someone that get's the advans. Same angles and everything.

Also WHOA. $630 per wheel for cast wheels? That's WICKED expensive. That's like paying $120 for a white t-shirt because it's on Kanye's store.

Heh, I love the design but no way for that price. I'll wait till Rota or someone copies them.

Gramlight 57C6 is basically the same wheel for almost $200 less.

Gahh if only they came with one more spoke! These are slightly stylized for Form>Function with the concave spoke exaggerated beyond the plane of the rim face:

Nothing wrong with that for looks. But functionally, the spokes use extraneous material which adds unnecessary weight. XXR 522, Rota Grids, and the highlighter colored Gram Lights 57C6 do this:

Prodrive actually went against the concave trend and returned to function with the latest gen of GC-07.
Older GC-07C with concavity:

Latest GC-07J (now discontinued) favoring lighter function/strength over heavier concavity:

1 more spoke is more weight than the material used to create the extreme concave face.

Also the 57C6 comes in more than just puke blue and neon puke pink:

Never said 57C6 only comes in highlighter colors. And I'm not hating on the RG III like you seem to make it out to be. It's a solid looking wheel and I'll take extra concave with more weight over not. Just pointing out things for people to consider. When you add an extra spoke, you absolutely have to modify the design. That modification can result in less material/lighter weight. There are cast 10-spoke wheels that weigh less than cast 6-spoke wheels. I don't care whether 7-spokes turn out heavier or lighter than 6-spokes. I prefer the look of 7-spokes over 6-spokes, period.

No-one is making you out to hate on the wheel. Just making conversation. And I lol'd at the highlight comment. Which is why I called the other two options puke. The best part of those is the disclaimer saying basically that they WILL fade within a year of use. So they're basically show wheels only. The grey is the only color that's actually going to look just as good 5 years from now, as it did on day one.

I can't imagine keeping wheels for 5 years...I've never managed to hang on to a set for more than a year, year and half.

I had a set of longchamps on my AE86 for like 5 years. I sold them after selling the car.
