Welp, now i know.

I'm looking into maybe getting an Innovate Stage 2 (intercooled) system, and likely having it dyno tuned somewhere reputable/experienced from the start... But I'd like to know what you (experienced owners) would say the top three supporting mods are, and what fluid is best for the air/water cooler (i.e. water and what additives). Any input is appreciated, it's a matter of me saving up and deciding between an Innovative Stage 2 or a Jackson Racing system. The car will be autocrossed fairly regularly (mostly second gear stuff) and I *may* start track duty next season.

I have had the intercooled 210 for 40,000 odd KM now and have not been nice to it in any way shape or form (have a spare motor) and so far the only issue I've had is one belt and I have to top the oil in the SC up every now and then.

Have run the 69mm pulley from day one and the redline cut out is set to 7800 rpm .

Best addition so far is a set of TOG EL bigger bore headers and 2.5" full Perrin exhaust which bought it to life and an oil cooler to keep temps in check .

Top 3 mods to get with the supercharger would be:
1. An oil cooler if you plan on doing any type of racing, but no need it you'll just be doing street driving. If only street driving then a higher flow air filter or new intake system like the Moto-East or Perrin.
2. Temperature sensor in the MAP plate to get an accurate temp reading so it can be tuned to it's potential.
3. Full 2.5 exhaust.
4. (Adding a fourth) Get a 70mm or 69mm pulley to maximize the supercharger with either the next size down in the standard belt or the Gates blue racing belt the same size as standard.
*For fluids just use 50/50 antifreeze that your car uses.

I'd recommend taking it to Moto-East as that's were my tune it from and it's been working well.

If I were to buy a kit new (I got mine used for $1300 cheaper), I'd buy an Edlebrock instead of the ones you listed, mainly because of the expand-ability and cooling potential. The Sprintex runs hot even with the intercooler when racing.

What about heat soak? Has anyone done lots of back to back testing? I know an oil cooler would help (and I intend to run a 72.5mm pulley, maybeeee a 70mm) but I'm trying to cover my bases

To throw a thought out there (having run the non-intercooled 210 for 2000 miles now): I bought my 210 unit used for $2000, and was out the door all said and done for $2250 (the price of ecutek license was offset by sale of my open flash tablet). I did the install myself (fairly easy). For the money i'd definitely do it all again. You can get an intercooled setup for $2500-3000 used for sure. That'll put you about $1000 cheaper than jackson racing before tune. If money isn't a big concern than $1000 may not matter.

For the track and for those who rev higher on the street the Jackson Racing is a better package -- but for autocross and street driving I think the 210 is great.

Personally, I can't say i've really experienced any obvious heat soak. But I also live in Indiana where we don't see temps above 80deg for more than about 2 months out of the year. I'm running a 72.5mm pulley, on moto-east tune, non-intercooled.

I was thinking about it but my tuner says it will not do anything as the stock 65 mm TB is more than enough

That's the irony behind people getting bigger intakes. They're still restricted by the 2.5in throttle body anyway.

To me, the biggest mod to do with this kit is run E85. I understand that some of us are unfortunate and don't have access, but if you do it's worth it. With this kit and E85 the car is about as fast as it has any business being.

yeah, I lost that bolt when I was installing my kit too. It threw lots of fuel CEL codes and stalled randomly until I fixed it.

Does a tighter belt make a big difference? Is there a lot of slippage with the 69mm?

Hearing a strange fluttering sound at mid/high boost from 3rd gear and up. I'm not sure if I've just picked up on it, or if it just started last week. Anyone else hear strange things like this?
Only started noticing it a few days after I smoked a centrifugally charged frs with the 69mm. Also worth noting that I can only hear it with the windows down - nothing out of the ordinary in the cab noise. Maybe my oil is aging and some valve noise is happening?

Any ideas?
