I was a bit skeptical with changing the oil at 5k miles+. So far I've had the Sustina in since 10000miles. Currently at 14.5k miles checked the oil yesterday and I have to say it looks pretty good. Im going to change it out a 15k miles. How long have you been running before changing out?

Hey guys,
Just wanted to chime in on the Sustina issue. We do stock it in-house, but we were out for some time as distributors were out and awaiting a new shipment to come in via container. This is why it takes some time to come in as when stock is out, we are waiting on slow boat from Japan.... Plenty in stock now though guys. I suggest getting enough for at least 2 oil changes so you aren't in a bind when it comes time to do another change. With this oil, it happens quite often that the US distributors are out of stock. I know because I've had many unhappy customers because of it. If you are lucky, you might be able to find it on the shelf at your local NAPA store, though.... Cheers, -Yo |

Premium oils like Sustina, should not break down as quickly. Your oil intervals should be pretty high, 7.5k is a number I see a lot with this oil, but I bet it could see more. A Blackstone oil analysis would be best to determine your oil interval with the specific oil you are using and your engine.

Someone did UOA on sustina at 15k and it looked really good... I think it was in the dedicated UOA thread, or maybe an eneos sustina thread. I don't really remember |
