I have a friend with built '08 335i pushing ~500whp, but this is not the point. The point is interval of part needed to be replaced is very short and sometimes fail because they were designed to be flawed. Another friend's '13 had his oil filter blew up driving on the street. If he didn't know better he would have to pay stealership 5K to replace things that weren't broken. BMW engines are pieces of crap made to serve their greedy unprofessional stealerships.

my old E60 M5 had 100k on it. still drove great till the day i sold it. and my old E39 from way back in days had 140k on it. motor and tranny were solid but the electrical was an issue.
