There's also multiple mentions that this isn't meant to compete with a full FI kit, yet it seems with the new charging system, that it would be 'very' competitive with those kits, except in rare situations where you are WOT all the damn time. I mean... 190lbft at 2200 rpm is insane...

@Pug - I haven't seen any mention of price... none mentioned on their website either. Can you tell us how much it cost you?
This really seems like a route I'd like to go. Enough power to really make the car fun when you want it to be, while retaining all stock characteristics when you are DD'ing, at (supposedly) much less cost than a traditional full FI setup. What's not to like? Edit: Only 16 pages into the 73 page thread... must go to sleep X_X

Just ordered the eye-fi x2 pro 16gb to try out. Older models had issues but this model that has been out for a year seems to have had the bugs worked out.
There are other brands in ebay for much cheaper but doubt the cell phone apps would be as robust. They even have one that has only the wifi built in but a micro sd slot to add your own memory. It has an integrated web page to browse from any web browser. Ahh technology. @chrisbfrs do you still have your electronic cut out? Sent from a Motorola DynaTAC 8000X |

Right now there are several variant systems being tested. Mine has the drag-reduction function and I've nearly finished building a fancier monitor that does temperature logging so we can see if the drag reduction causes it to hold heat longer. |

1. Evil86 (Kevin) - but I will probably be driving a STR Miata NB.
2. Edgary (Edgar) 3. SpyderMS (John) 4. Ninjun (Brent) 5. (Gem) 6. Frank V. (on the forum?) Still looking for The Sleeper. Kevin C., and Mattles. Register for autox www.mindthecones.com September 8th, Skid pad four, Bondurant. It is the first event of the Fall series. We have instructors and loaner helmets. Even though it can produce prodigious amount of adrenaline, autox is safe and had minimal impact on the car.

Four of the fifteen STX cars in the Pro Solo are twins, and 12 of the 62 STX cars at the Nationals are twins.
Like I posted earlier, I can't be there, but wish my drivers and car luck. I really think they/it have a chance of winning or placing high in the pro solo and the nationals.
