Grandma from Japan. Was fluent. Started taking Japanese in the 5th grade. Don't remember shit now.

Also as for the weird English phrases on items.
That is totally still a thing.

Decoration English

Every culture borrows from others but Japanese wins hands down. My favorite was a men's clothing shop called Wood & Pecker.

Got PPF done on the front bumper. Man! PPF price went up! Oh & install yellow fog light films. Currently waiting on matte black & cf vinyls to come in, so I can wrap the lower front bumper to cover the silver thingy in the middle.

The side mirrors are gloss black. Debating to wrap it w cf vinyl or white pearl vinyl. Kinda wanna do white pearl… but finding the right “white pearl” to match the rest of the body gonna be a bitch.

After exterior parts are wrapped. I’ll be wrapping the interior to cover the damn piano black pieces. They’re finger print magnet & it annoys me!

Uhuh. That's definitely all it's for. You totally haven't printed kanji stencils already.

I never really understood what Porsche means in the world of Motorsport. The older I've gotten, the more I've learned about all these manufacturers that have left a mark. The more I've gotten to try the cars on a simulator, the more fascinated I've become.

After trying the new 992 GT3 RS, now I want a Porsche. But I have no idea what each model means, and there's so many variations. Not that I can afford a GT3, but there's gotta be something out there that would be considered a step up from a twin.

First Gen twins were compared to the mid-engined Cayman when they came out. Specifically the 987.1 or 987.2 which I think covers 2006 to 2012 iirc. The following year the 981 came out and confused everyone who didn't already have a Porsche collection by being a smaller number. These would be the natural step up in performance, but you lose the rear seats and various practicality features from the twins. The trims for Cayman typically start at "Base", then "S", then "GTS" for recent model years, then "GT". Traditionally Caymans were powered by NA H6 engines that increased in displacement as you went up the ladder but nowadays (718) most are turbo H4s until you get to the upper GTS trim or a GT4. Cayman is the coupe version, Boxster is the open top version of the same car.

For other models of Porsche in general, they add a "Turbo" for a more powerful version (not necessarily denoting presence of a turbo) and a "4" to denote AWD. So you can have a Panamera Turbo 4S for example.

Note, a Carerra is a lower trim 911 in most cases. Don't bother learning 911 trims unless you like rabbit holes that have no end.

Or a Taycan Turbo S. Never have quite figured out what a turbo would do on an EV.

If you pay the extra BIG bucks Porsche will unlock the software to allow for "Turbo" fast charging. Yeah, makes no sense to me either but I'm not a marketing genie-ass!

Ultra: Who the fuck added me to a fucking group chat?
8o8: language
Stephen: Yeah watch your fucking language
ichitaka: OKAY WHO TAUGHT STEPHEN THE FUCK WORD?
Spuds: 'The fuck word'.
Tcoat: Are you stupid? You guys use the f word all the time
Stephen: Oh my god they censored it
Spuds: Say fuck, Tcoat.
Stephen: Do it, Tcoat. Say fuck.
Quote:
Ultra: We need to distract these guys
8o8: Leave it to me
8o8: Centaurs have six limbs and are therefore insects. Discuss.
Stephen, ichitaka, and Spuds: *Immediately begin arguing*
Tcoat, watching in horror: Oh this. I don’t like this. I don't like this at all.
