I have been trying out the 5k/9k setup these past 2 events. Going to try 9k/11k next. Mostly an experiment to see how the car feel changes when making drastic spring rate changes. MCS recommends the really stiff springs, even going up to 11kF & 13kR.

I'm hoping to get the 9k/11k setup on before our next event on Feb. 18th. Running out of time though as I've been laid up this past week after surgery

I would strongly suggest doing it after Fontana...

Yea, I have been leaning in that direction too. It would be a stretch to get things switched by the 18th anyways.

Steppin' up to the big boy springs! I'm in the process of selling my T2s with 400 pound springs and replacing them with standard Bilstein B16s with springs not much stiffer than stock.

Test and Tune tomorrow, autox on Sunday. Hopefully have the MCS mostly working after the weekend. Off to Fontana for the ProSolo on Thursday, assuming we are not snowed in by some freak Colorado snow storm.

After that, OS Giken install and re-tuning all the suspension haha. Race season has begun!

Had a rough go at the Fontana ProSolo. Was in ok shape after first session (7 of 14) after some pretty conservative driving. Made a minor shock change for afternoon session and went backwards, literally (big spin on right side). Didn't make up any ground as I was fighting rear grip.

2nd day was a mess of timing issues for me and a red light on my best (I think) run. T&S had 2 times that were not mine, and scored my red light run as a good run, but in the wrong spot (1st run when it was my re-run from timing issues). I had to go tell them it was a red light before audit came out. I didn't bother attempting to get my other times corrected as by that point, we had been sitting in impound for over an hour.

Even with the correct times I would have still been mid-pack at best. I struggled with the Fontana surface and just didn't drive well enough to be as competitive as I would hoped.

Question: The timing issues made me wonder if anyone does any kind of recording of their times at a Pro, in case they need to prove to T&S a correct time?

I have only done a handful of Pro's, but this is the second time I have had really bad timing luck. I could have lost the MinWells Pro last year because my best time was recorded to a different car. I had multiple people, some in my own class while in impound, and another lady I did not know when I finished the run, tell me it was recorded to a different car.

That time would have extended my lead to about a full second. T&S realized the error, and gave me a re-run after I had been sitting in impound for 15 minutes, which I of course went slower in (cooled down BFG's). Fortunately Brandon gifted me a red light so my win was preserved, but had he not done that I would have had to somehow prove my best time to retain the win. Just wondering how people approach that or if you are basically screwed....
