I'm already doing half of the stuff. When my supervisor or boss leave (both are retiring in <10yrs), at least I have something I can put it in resume to have a chance to get their position.

You also get to help people out when they really need it, make people very happy when you give them a job, make changes to make the workplace a better place and many other good things. There is more good than bad in the field.
The drawback is you have to deal with needy engineers.

I replaced it with all new 8 gauge SRML.

It's for my large box furnace. The high draw was from a bad connection. I got it sorted now
