I do agree, it looks more upscale. If they made that dark gray plastic trim around the center console and shift knob out of actual metal (instead of plastic made to look like metal), I'd buy it simply on principal.
But it's still too big and heavy for what I want, and the BRZ/FR-S interior is plenty nice enough for a driver-focused sports car.

About time! I intend to test drive the FR-S/BRZ and the R-Spec 2.0 on the same day if I can arrange it - the Genesis is the only other car I am even considering at this point. I'd say odds are 95% in favour of the Tobaru though.

We Canadians only get one version of the V6 though... The most expensive one, the GT, which is the same as the US Track. Fully, fully loaded, 6mt or auto.

Have you checked out the markup on the V6? No wonder they are only selling one model, it's far too expensive for most people to stomach.

Track/GT is only about $3k more in Canada then in the US. Overall, it's only $500 more then last years version. I don't have a problem with the price. Hyundais CDN vs US prices are pretty close compared to most other companies.

Subaru on the other hand, worst markups in Canada. 30% markup over the USA is a fucking joke. Whoever runs their Canadian business unit can suck my ****. |

What are your thoughts on a used 2010 2.0T premium model in stick for 22K (canadian)? It would be certified, so that would mean warranty until 2015 or 2016 depending on when car was bought. (it was afterall the first year it came out and this worries me a bit)
alternatively, what do you think I could get the 2013 2.0T premium for if I paid cash and did carcostcanada)? Throw me some insight!

This. If I could have got an 11' WRX new for the price they are in the states, I'd of got one instead of MY07. I love my car though. I'll test drive a BRZ and 2013 2.0t gen coupe this spring. But I'll prob throw $2500 at my car, go stage 2 and be happier when the snow falls . It's a blast to drive all year round, stage 2 adds a lot of punch (60hp/85tq or so)
