I've been searching the perfect HU for myself. I've never experienced any HU that has a touchscreen. I've looking to purchase my first "fancy" hu and the ca-fi looks very appealing. I know it varies from person to person depending on what they plan on using the HU for.

Does this headunit allow you to play avi files from a micro sd?

I wasn't planning on doing a group buy, but I just emailed the sales rep I've been dealing with to see if it's something they'd be interested in.

I'll let you guys know when I get a response. They are surprisingly pretty responsive for being based out of China.

Spoke to Ca-Fi. They proposed the following structures.

0-10.... 75$ off
11-25.. 125$ off
26-50.. 175$ off

Nothing too extraordinary. So let me know/post if you're interested and I'll grab a vendor account to run the group buy. If we are using my paypal, I'm going to have to ask for the paypal fee too as I'm not a charity.

I just realized I wrote down the wrong brackets. I guess that's what I get for posting before coffee.

It's as follows:

0-9 - Full price
10-24 - 75$ off
25-49 - 125$ off
50+ - 175$ off

Sorry for the confusion. So yea if there's enough interest, I'll grab a vendor account and set it up.

I may be interested, depending on the freight cost to Oz.

I know you mentioned you could plug in a USB thumb drive and play the media off of it, but i'm curious about small USB hard drives. I've got a 500gb and a 1tb western digital drives that are powered USB only, is this unit capable of powering and playing from these drives?

Just for reference:

If it's USB powered, I believe it supports up to 1tb as long as it's FAT32.

You may have trouble if it draws too much amperage.. if it doesn't work if you can find a USB hub thats powered (and preferably 12vdc) you can use that between the HD and the HU to provide power.
