School has officially started for me, so that sucks

I threw on the Perrin oil filler cap, which looks much better than the yellow plastic one.

I also got my Nameless Performance 3" Track Pipe and installed it this weekend along with a single Perrin polyurethane hanger/bushing. The sound of the car is much louder than i was expecting, since i had read that it didn't make "that big of a difference" on more than one post. Overall, i'm really happy that it no longer sounds like a Camry and has some proper noise behind it.

Love the FC.
My first real project car was an 86 SE, I did the full GXL swap, racing beat true dual exhaust, various intake mods etc etc before moving on to an fc3s...

So hard to find clean FC's and FD's in the south east that don't cost a fortune.

Good luck with the FR-S!

As DIM so kindly pointed out something that i forgot to mention...yes, dark gray is our family color so to speak

Swapped the OEM air filter out for a Perrin one and installed a Perrin silicone inlet hose.

The car does feel a tiny bit more responsive and the rev range SEEMS to be smoother, so i'm happy with that. I also think the look of the inlet hose over stock is much better and without the sound generator the engine bay is much tidier.

Put in a really productive night of work on the FC on Friday night with my friend Paul. We then proceeded to do an awesome 200 mile drive on Saturday as well as some exploring and photography.

Did a break-in oil change on Sunday night at 2125 miles using Eneos 0w-20, K&N filter, and a Greddy magnetic drain plug.

After a few months of confusion with the dealership my fog lights finally came in. These are the OEM Toyota option and it's probably the only thing the dealer will ever touch my car for

Changed the transmission and differential oil at about 2 am last night at 3001 miles

I went with Motul Gear 300 after some research and biting the bullet on the price of it and i can say that it's great for two reasons.

1. The bottle design is the business. The built in flexible spout made filling the trans and diff a piece of cake. From previous experiences changing gear oil on my FC I know that it's not nearly as easy without this. I'm gonna keep the bottles to use for changing the oils on other cars.

2. It seems to me like it fixes the sometimes harsh feeling when shifting. I've heard it described as "notchiness" or whatever but i do think it feels better.

Also, one thing that's really nice about our cars is that the trans and diff both come with magnetic drain plugs. Nice job Toyota/Subaru

I've been super busy as of late applying to colleges, but i'm finally finished with that! Now the wait begins...

As for the car, i'm at around 4300 miles and i've made a few small modifications that i'll be posting soon.

Most of my extra cash has gone toward saving for a set of coilovers, which i should be ordering very soon I'll be going with Fortune Auto 500 Series after doing a good amount of research (i'm a sucker for numbers and testing of parts and that kind of thing). I'm just still trying to decide on spring rates.

Stay tuned.

I've hit 5000 miles!

Here's some pictures of a few parts i put on a little while ago:

First is a Downstar/BoltBoys full engine bay SS bolt kit. These look really nice and were something inexpensive that improve the look of the engine bay.

Next is a "Billet Custom" oil catch can. I've wanted to get a catch can/AOS because i had heard it's a good preventive measure for keeping the engine healthy (among other things, obviously). It's a generic kit that i made work with a hose adapter and some different bolts. After about 1000 miles it had caught a little bit of oil.

Not sure exactly what you're getting at here or why you felt the need to say that...

Just another small thing...

When i changed the side markers earlier this year i left the OEM bulbs in, but it started to bug me that the headlights were white(ish), the turn signals were orange, and the side markers appeared yellow. So i forked over the $4 and changed the side marker bulbs.

Waiting on coilovers to arrive so i can get cracking...
