I had a chance to test this setup yesterday and I noticed the car gave me a lot more confidence especially at high speed corners/sweepers..
Braking was also felt better yesterday.. maybe it's because I've added the diffuser and last time when I was at the track, I had the front splitter only..

According to the Hancha group, without the rear diffuser (splitter only) downforce distribution is 68% front and 32% rear (which explains the tail happy character of my car at the last event) and with the rear diffuser it is 51% front and 49% rear... I hope this helps

97 F degrees outside, R compounds, SC kit and I still managed to achieve 35-36 mpg on the highway ( cruise control set to 66 mph) when driving to track event

May i ask what were your "obvious" reason for going with the KW instead of the JR?

Both kits are similar in design and they both come with the same Rotrex unit, oil canister and oil filter so they are similar for the most part.. both makers of the kit use different size of IC piping, routing, intake and IC size ..I am not a big fan of the intake designs that sit in the engine bay and Kw utilizes bigger IC piping IC and they all contribute to better cooling for track use..

also KW kit uses a different bracket so if you snap your belt you can still drive back home (unlike the JR ) and you can also upgrade your charger now or later (unlike JR again)..

take a look at Drift Office's comparo and impressions

I had a chance to attend the NASA PW event with "rice classic" today, it was very nice to meet with you (in person) man I really appreciate the very useful tips that you gave me and letting me use your pyrometer today (now I am even more confused, haha).. I noticed that I have been missing all the action since it seemed a lot more organized with a lot more experienced attendees

FYI, I was in combined HPDE Group (4/ TT) and he was in the Racing group .. this was my first day with NASA and overall I am glad you mentioned this event (and of course the re-pavement at PR ) it was horrible last year

Overall car felt pretty good and I am sure the aeros helped me a lot at T1 to maintain the high speed stability.. except the brake pads.. hopefully when I replace them with the ST43s and maybe add the Toyo RRs (255s), I will gain more confidence (especially before turns 3a-3b)

rice classic's red CRX

My best lap time of the day was 1:41.6 and it was my first event at PR after a year so sub 1:40s are quite possible with the current setup and with a completely clear lap (no interruptions, point bys ..etc)
