Difference is both of those cars will sell for under MSRP
FRS with scion's love of dealer installed bullshit, is gonna be near impossible to find at MSRP

Hmm I guess the price is what they've been saying it will be all along. So why the surprised attitudes? Also, people who's pocket books were at the border line of being able to afford this car will, of course, be dissapointed. Buck up guys, you'll only need to save a little more to get the car you "REALLY" wanted in the first place.

So I guess all the rumors and guesses were fairly right on. Now I'm thinking the BRZ limited will be around 28 to 29k, which was expected.

My guess is $27000 which is fucked. That's r-spec money when you factor in Hyundai rebates and a carcostcanada or Carsaver.ca report. I figure scion won't do anything for you on the price.

That would be downright cheap! You can find a lot I low mileage C5 Corvettes for well under $20k. Super light, 350 HP, and tons of fun to drive. I wasnt a huge vette fan until I drove one for 4 months. It was flipping awesome. Only reason I'm getting an FRS is to try something different, and I want a brand we car.

You know we are going to see a 30-35K BRZ right?

I disagree. The car shouldn't be more than $26k Canadian...have you gone on scion.ca? the greatest difference between a Canadian and American model is like $1500. And if this car comes in at 26k Canadian...all I can say is well done scion. What can you buy in canada for 26k? A civic si?

24.2 and non negotiable pricing right?

well Hello BRZ! I'd pay a little more or negotiate with subaru dealers after initial launch to get a better deal on a BRZ.

I think 24.2 would be acceptable for a 6mt FRS if it came with better HIDs, fogs and BRZ like cloth interior. Not really the "bargain" car I was expecting. I really thought the FRS would be priced at 21.8-22.5 range.

Might as well sell it under as a Toyota 86. Right?

I owned a c5 for 3 years before getting my dogs, and now that i can afford to have an extra car, i'm gonna probably end up getting a used c6 after seeing the price...granted i'll be driving the FRS before i decide

+1

Isn't it roughly $10 more in month to every 1K more of the price. Under 25K is really good too so I don't understand the upsets!

Those who really want to get a Hyundai by all means go get one! If you think you can't afford one, then by all means wait! Ah man, the benefits of being older and wiser!

I'm with you, it fell right where I wanted it to, as did the fuel economy (of course cheaper is always better). Even with the auto tranny it is at the point I expected for the base car.

Then again, like you, second on my list was a ZL1 so this is half price for me.

If the price is too much for most, then hopefully it'll be easy finding one when it comes out.

price sounds right to me. and besides, like it has been said, this is what they estimated all along. most of us were guessing it would be over the estimated 25k anyway. (when is it common that prices come below whats been estimated?)
