Here's the kicker. You want to maximize your gearing such that you reach top speed the second you cross the finish line. I've seen a lot of cars with high numbers not maximizing on drag races because they have only hit 5th gear over the line with tons to go. The strip isn't long enough for a long final drive. So you can tune it two ways... Kick the final drive all the way over to Accel and keep lengthening it up until you top out over the line, or you can do each gear individually. I usually lengthen 1st-3rd a good bit then shorten up 4th-6th progressively. That way you have a smoother start with less wheel spin and overtake everyone who has lost their peak torque in higher gears. Keep a close eye on the curve though, once tuned properly it should flow smoothly 1st-6th with constant power Plus overtaking lets you relive the classic F&F days!
