Carbon fiber wing weather damage

Anyone know how to fix this? I tried hand wax and it didn't work. Thanks

that's looks like clear coat wearing. likely need a respray

It could be a DIY but it will be far from perfect. There are youtube videos showing how to do it but check your local bodyshops. Some places near me charge $150-$300 for a respray.

Better and easier to take it to a body shop. It needs to be sanded and recleared with a UV-resistant coat.

If you are excellent at not running clearcoat; this is a good DIY for you.

I'm a "decent" (IMO) DIY painter. Most panels you only paint one side. And the panels that get painted both sides, like the hood, have different finishes on each side.

So, having a part that needs clear evenly on the top and bottom is tricky. (read: hard to clear coat)







I'd also suggest getting a professional involved in this project.

Which wing is that? Looks like it wasn't finished in a clear coat, and the manufacturer probably only used a clear gel.

I would follow the advice above and have a clear coat applied by a professional.
