Well I have successfully derailed a thread in a way I did not expect.... woohoo lol.

Thank's for the compliments guy's I am very lucky not only is she a hot redhead but I met her in an engine shop rebuilding cylinder heads. So she shares my enjoyment of cars or should I say puts up with more than you would expect.
@Jason@DSG As for the Oil-Less topic I agree I don't think they will be hitting most kit's soon but I too would like to see that change. It's a really nice setup and I will go this route again when I choose my next project.

Not actually that into his wife, but I'm in no way, shape, or form declaring her unattractive.

Wow. That's awesome. I've got a looker as well, but she could give two sh*ts about cars.

I disconnected mine for the winter. I just bought two plugs with o-rings and put them on the lines. Took the adapter off below the oil filter and was good to go. It takes 5 minutes. I recommend for those in the cold states. My oil would get to 160F and the thermostatic plate would open and it would instantly cool to 155F and close. Essentially repeating that cycle over and over. I could never get my oil temps warm enough. I'm in the DC area, we had a bad winter but anything here and north, I'd recommend.

although it's not transferable since the oil temps is mostly determined by the engine speed (RPM) you can still use it as a reference.. also he provided before and after temps which is another reference point..

I remember one of the guys who tracked (road course) his car with Jackson Racing kit also saw the similar benefits with OEM engine oil cooler..

Tracked my BRZ yesterday for the first time and was shocked!
My SG2 went as high as 275 degrees oil temp!!! On a bone stock car.

Where is the factory oil temp sensor located?

What do you guys consider a safe temp range?

I have a blower sitting at home for the car, but I am scared to put it on, as the car runs wicked hot stock. Don't even want to know what it's going to run once boosted
