Only if you're tuned for it and/or are going to swap it on the dyno, or immediately before/after flashing your tune.

So aftermarket MAP sensor is not needed for this t518z application unless we're trying to go over 14.7psi of boost? If we want a tune for hi&low boost, is that when we need an aftermarket MAP? Stock MAP is a 2bar (or some say 1.6bar)?

stock is 1.3bar.

It depends on how your setup is tuned.

I've been considering getting this kit recently. Anyone able to chime in on how it compares to other top turbo/SC solutions available like JDL, Full Race, Edelbrock, JR, etc?

If you're not planning to go more than 300whp, this is the perfect kit for you. My only complaint about this kit is the turbo stops making power up top even at 14 psi.

If you want room for more power later get the T620z for about +400whp with E85.

If you want an all around kit and the potential to go all the way to 500hp later, this is not a kit for you. I'd go with JDL and a GTX3076R.

Exactly what BRX said. I ran the T620z on 10lbs of boost for a good 18k miles on a stock engine with no issues (293 WHP automatic trans). I decided to turn up the boost to 18lbs since I'm on a built block now.

How’s the response on it? Do you know how it would compare to the 518?

For those of you who paid to get this kit installed, how much was it? I was quoted $2500. Does it make sense to you? Thanks!

I got it installed for about $800. $2500 is asking way too much even if it includes a tune.

I was quoted 1k but I had a few other things other than just the T518z kit.

How do you guys like this kit when considering the heat it brings? I want to buy this ASAP, but I will have big time buyers remorse if it cant support my commutes. I drive on the German Autobahn (avg 95-120 mph for 2 hours at a time/ 4 times a month). I already had oil temp problems on a stock engine in the winter. So I just purchased the JR dual radiator/oil cooler. Do you guys think I will have heat problems with this kit?
