Rear Fender Roll

How does everyone deal with the black plastic seal that is left over after rolling the rear fenders?

That would require repainting that area left to prevent rust... Right? I live in an area where they that the roads often.

Did this get resolved? What did you do? I am getting ready to roll my rear fenders and am not sure what is going to happen if that is removed.

My shop took a heated chisel-like knife and carefully removed some the plastic/rubber edge. Not all of it was removed. Only enough to enable the rolling of the rear fenders. It was a clean cut all in one go. There's only about ~3mm of the plastic/rubber material left.
