You've probable heard this from many FT86 (and auto) enthusiasts, but you all at Vorshlag have done a really nice job thus far on the LSx Swap. I look forward to reading more updates to come. This is my future goal for my FR-S since I keep blowing transmissions and clutches on 450whp... Personally, I'd like to go back to N/A instead of forced induction; so I can't wait to see what happens next with your kit.

If I move to Dallas this year I will be sure to get in touch with you guys for future fun builds like a supercharger on my 3IS 350 =3.

I am interested in the tranny swap portion. I am interested in the engine as well but I want to see how far I can push the FA20 on E85 and the AVO. I am pretty sure the transmission will give up the ghost. I wonder if they will allow pieces? Please do if this hasn't been discussed! May not even be possible, though.

It's an LS based motor...Its going to make power, i don't really think that is the biggest part of this story...

First Dyno was a wash because of design of the intake..(to restrictive).Vorschlag has remade the intake already with a revisit this week to re tune and Dyno.......my goal is 350 to the wheels which shouldn't be a problem and is a conservative number but meets my goals for this car.

factory LS1 with cam, headers, exhuast and a tune should put down 375 pretty effortlessly.

I'm in the process of this swap myself (holding out now for vorshlag) but i will be going the Turbo LS3 route.

I think the biggest wow factor of Vorshlag is the hand tools installation and the plug and play harness.

I may end up having to go stand alone to get it all working properly but Vorshlag is still the best solution to date.

That's my long term.
I have to fund the Ls3 first.
(where's my money?)
Turbo way in the future.

While I understand that the guys at Vorshlag, and @Fair, I'm looking at you, aren't in the business of producing RHD compatible kits, it would be nice to have a heads-up on what would be the parts in the LS kit that wouldn't work. It seems from the blog that the exhaust design would be the major sticking point. Apart from steering column and brake booster positioning, the rest seems to be pretty similar.

I would really like this kit on my car, with an LS3.

Good call on the intake tube. Having used an LS3 E-Rod in another project, I'm guessing it will make more power

Without having a RHD car to verify, I can't be sure, but everything except the headers should fit.

On our BMW kits the motor mounts push the engine over to the right for more steering to header clearance, so they have fewer parts that are compatible for a RHD car.

FWIW, we've actively looked for RHD models to build kits for. But either the logistics or price for one has prevented us from sourcing a car for mockup.
