Okay. At least the low rpm rattle with the flywheel trans is normal. That's pretty much the only thing that is odd so far about my car. Glad to know that it just isn't my car.

So far with about 550km of light break-in kms, everything is getting smoother with the more kms I put on the car. No crickets as of yet *knocks on wood*.

My car was built May 2013.

I test drove an FRS and really love the car. I'm 90% dead set on buying one but seeing all the issues that propped up in the first year, I'm pushing myself to hold off until the 2014s come out, and confirmations that numerous little fixes had been made.

My car has been very reliable! I bought mine in late June or early July of 2012... I forget... I know I was one of the first owners. :P The only issues I have had are crickets, chirps of the A/C, and low coolant level after 14k miles of driving... Which doesn't surprise me that it was low, I topped it off and it is still running strong. Maybe it's because I don't push it like a race car all the time... I only do it when it is needed or I feel it needs to get some exercise. Other than that... I get about 32mpg using Mobile1 0w-20 fuel economy. Works great. No major issues so far... Needless to say, I am very happy how this car has been behaving this past year. Now if I could only stop those cricket noises... lol

Jan 2013 build, a bit less than 1100 miles on it, VIN in the low 7000s (BRZ)

2nd gear can be a bit clunky occasionally, and I have some condensation in tails. It's only a little and it dries quickly, but it's definitely there. No crickets or package shelf or CEL issues though.

Just picked up mine on Saturday. May 2013 build date. I'll follow up with any issues. (Only 675 miles or so currently.)

It'd be helpful to post the last 4 digits of your VIN, or at least the fourth-to-last and third-to-last digits if you want to keep some privacy. That gives a bit more info than the build date, because the TSBs list the VIN that they were cut into production on.

I have a BRZ #72xx.

The tail light condensation was fixed on #7611 per the TSB.

Chirp is #7798 per the TSB.

GPS is #3982 per the TSB.

I have had no chirp (but I have low miles), I do have condensation (which makes sense, because they fixed it at a higher VIN), and my GPS is mostly fine (I lost signal once but it was a wooded area, and it came back in a minute or two).

To be honest with you, it is not reliable yet.
Mine was built in April 13, but still has some issues.
Idle dip with cricket noise(this one has to be fixed since
TSB was listed before my car is built) It only has 800 miles on it.
I am very disappointed by Toyota and subaru, but
I'm taking it in to the dealer next Monday so hopefully
everything get fixed.

My VIN is over 10000 (4/13 production), and I have both condensation and chirp. Neither bothers me, but they're both present.

My previous car (1/13 production) had condensation, but no chirp (at least not noticed in the ~8300 miles I drove it).

package shelf... like the dashboard?

i just brought my car in since my driver side speaker housing was rattling. they ordered a new speaker just to make sure the existing one wasn't defective.

also, i had squeeking window, only when wet. and i have the chirp, but really, if the HFPF makes that noise, it makes that noise. it's only an issue if it actually causes issues right? at this point i just consider it part of the frs engine sound, much like porsches have that metallic crunching soda can sound. it's not endearing, but if no one pointed it out, most of us wouldn't have been listening for it.

The package shelf is the shelf behind the rear seat that your third brake light is mounted on.
