Anyone got a BRZ in SA yet? I've seen a few in JHB a d assumed they are demo's. I've been told my silver is in the first batch and I'm waiting impatiently.... Gavin |

BRZ vs. 86 - which to choose!
The article in latest Car mag has finalized my decision to go Subaru "Subaru vehicles have been voted the cars most loved by South Africans in RamsayMedia Research Solution’s SA AutoBrand Survey of 2012. The SA AutoBrand survey saw Subaru surpass stronger, better-established marques to be ranked third overall in the country, sharing the podium with the likes of BMW and Audi while out-ranking 17 other locally represented automotive brands. Among the criteria where Subaru excelled were: - Dealer professionalism - Top placing for dealer service - First-time troubleshooting - Manager availability These attributes were further bolstered by good showings in such purchase influence ‘hot buttons’ as perceived resale values and marque consideration regarding the quality of the vehicles on offer. The SA AutoBrand Survey 2012 was the second annual automotive brand survey from RamsayMedia Research Solutions. It received 6 486 responses covering 19 marques, making it the biggest and most comprehensive stand-alone survey of the SA motor vehicle market." Go BRZ! |

same car is same - but 50k for manager availability seems about right. O well I guess I'll just have to resort to the old school "can I see the manager please".

Yeah, what were we thinking? We could have paid R50k more and gotten a free wing and the backing of 10 dealerships nationwide.

Rather keep ZAR 50K for phone calls to Toyota Manager........based on my experience customer service generally sucks in South Africa and that's regardless what Company you are dealing with !.

I wonder which will hold the better resale value 6 years down the line?
The Subaru will be more exclusive for sure, but... Will it be the kid on the block that nobody wants to play with? Time will tell as will reliability and insurance stats. Lets bump my post in 3y time and see how it's going |

Yep but either way, it's not a contest and if this is an indication of what's going to happen when more new SA BRZ owners start posting then I can see this place going down the toilet. Remember the old TRD forums a couple of years ago?
