BRZ also got a different and awesome sounding exhaust BTW so the main differences are exhaust + boot spoiler + maintenance plan.

What is also different is the plain silver dash panels and missing white ring on the rev counter. Went for a drive in one a while back so I had a good look inside & out.
Agreed the 86 is far better looking, honestly the BRZ bumper with that lip thing just looks weird.

The BRZ exhaust sounds wicked, really brings out the goodness the engine has to offer. however its just a change in the tone of the car, no apparent power gain. yet again something "different".

That being said if the 86 looked liked the BRZ, I'd be one of the nuts that went with Toyota. I bought the 86 solely cause its the Toyota 86, the BRZ guys will most certainly be doing the same.

Anywho, after hearing a few upgrades very anxious for warranty to finish. Car has alot to offer.

Yep, both awesome cars. I'd also go for the Toyota every time(200 vs +-10 dealerships) but if the bumpers were swapped I'd have a dilemma.

Ditto, despite being a very loyal Scooby owner, and never previously having owned a Toyota.
Number of dealerships and resale value count a lot.

BRZ exhaust is but the BRZ front bumper is YEECH!

Each to his own. I preferred the front of the BRZ and the better after sales service ratings for Subaru compared to Toyota in SA so got one of the first BRZ's in SA on 25 March, even though I have a Prado and the 86 Hi I ordered would have been delivered a week earlier than my BRZ in the end.

There are other differences - BRZ dash inserts are silver, she has Zennon lights and a sports exhaust, and I liked the full maintenance plan too.

Otherwise, they are twins so we're all lucky to have such great cars!

Respect, you're 100% right.
Maybe I've still got some nasty surprises ahead with Toyota - dunno?

When my Subaru Forester was 8 years old (XT = self-levelling suspension), I had to replace the rear shocks. No sweat, it had been abused, done a lot of very rough roads and offroad work, and shock replacement was no surprise. But one of the new shocks failed after about a year. To cut a long story short, on my request Subaru agreed to convert it to standard shocks (non-self-levelling), and did the conversion plus provided new standard shocks at no cost to me. That level of care for a 9 year old vehicle was amazing, and it's still going strong, still being seriously abused, and still much loved.

it's a colour specific to the BRZ, the 86 blue is darker.

Aha, I love the Subaru blue! The 86 blue is too dark for my liking from what I could see on pics.
I had a Rav4 in that blue some 10 years ago and still love the colour!

Close to my home, there's normally a blue WRX (his) and a blue GT86 (hers) parked together in their driveway. The colour difference is very apparant when the two are next to each other. The Toyota blue is nice, but it's quite a bit darker and sort-of duller. The Subaru WRB is amazing!!

It is a much better blue than toyota's, but the 86 blue is still a pretty classy colour... If I had the choice though, WRB definitely...
