Any idea how much lower it will sit?

I really need to find a wider/shalllower one for my 818R...

It is basically the same height. I can get the exact measurement but we're talking within 1/8th of an inch.

How much total capacity will this pan add?

From the pics I've seen I thought the upper pan was more of an engine girdle, is that inaccurate?
