To the 0.1% stuffing kids in the back

I just picked up my WRB Series.Blue two days ago but I had ordered a few things ahead of time. One of them was a pair of kick mats for the back of the front seats.

A while back I asked if anyone knew other good fitting options than the cheap-looking clear plastic covers I had seen up to that point. One helpful suggestion was "plastic baby covers." but i'm not sure if mom would go for that.

Anyway, for anyone in a similar spot I thought I would share the ones I did pick up from Amazon. They are almost invisible from the front of the seat and cover the full back of the seat.

Excellent!!! I have been looking for somthing like this. Now i wont have to enforce the "no shoes in daddy's car" rule to my 3 year old. First thing he does is plant his feet on the back of the passenger seat. Thank You!!!

Ejector seats

What a fun ride for a squid. I would put my kids in seats back there if they were still that little

Hi there,
I am in Durham as well. I am going to be out of town for two weeks but after that I'll try to make it to some of the summer meet ups. I will also be going to the 2nd day of the 86 meet in Virginia (won't be done with my break-in so I won't be autocrossing) maybe we will run into each other sometime. You have a WRB as well don't you?

Wait... Humans can fit in the back seat? I thought that was just a myth.

I have a 5 year old that I drop off at school. I haven't bothered with kick mats--I tell him not to kick, and what he does get on the back of the front seat wipes off easily.

I don't let him eat in my car, but I did get one of these to go under his car seat, mostly to help prevent depression damage.

It really is tiny back there, but he's a little guy, and I put the front passenger seat up quite a bit. I think I've only driven with 3 in the car once, and it was just in my neighborhood.

This is the Seat saver I picked up. So far so good. Granted it has only been two days

@qitoor

Btw, beautiful family!

Everyone looks so happy, even the wife after buying an impractical sports coupe!

I'm starting to think we need a BRZ Mom/Dad pic thread with families in/around the car!

That I do sir. Would be great to meet up...I have not made it to any local gatherings...my schedule just hasn't aligned.

I was hoping to make the 86 fest, but will be away on vacation...it should be a blast.

Not meaning to venture off topic, but @qitorr thought I would offer some advice that I wish I had taken when just purchased my BRZ:

I strongly recommend a clear bra. Now if you're like me, I hate the look of those when you are up close. However, it's been well documented on this forum that the paint on these cars is very soft. I can say that the front of my car looks like I have sprayed it with gravel. It makes me cringe when I look at it up close.

Let me also qualify that by saying I wash my car weekly and wax it monthly on a regular basis; I also put relatively low miles (only 16K over past 17 months). Most of that is just commuting (a lot on I-40 unfortunately).

In hindsight I wish I had done it...I am now strongly considering having the whole front bumper and hood re-painted and then a clear bra installed. But we will see...I have no idea on the price for that.

Not trying to be a downer, just wanted to pass that along. Hoping I can see your series blue sometime. I live in South Durham (Hope Valley area), are you close by?

I've always wondered why they made the back side of the seat leather/vinyl instead of cloth. But then i thought about this (kids sitting in the back), but mainly when i started loading the car with tires/camping-gear/mountain-bike, I knew that it was so that the back side doesn't stain. More cars should be made this way imo.
