Arlington, VA servicing/body shop
Anyone in the Arlington, NoVA area do a good job servicing these cars? I know there's a good shop out in Sterling, but unfortunately that's just too far for me.
I'm also looking for a little body work to be done on the front and rear bumper. So if there's a good place in the Arlington area please let me know! Thanks. |

Japanese Auto Care on Washington Blvd in Ballston.
I've dealt with them twice with another car I used to own. I was getting ready to sell a Lexus and had taken it to another shop for the state inspection. The other shop failed me on the brakes and quoted a high price to replace them. So I took it to Japanese Auto Care to get a quote from them on the brakes. Without telling them what the other shop was charging, they quoted the cost at $100 less than the other shop. I left the car with them and received a call a few hours later. They told me that the brakes were fine and there was no reason they shouldn't have passed and recommended another shop to get the state inspection done. They did not charge me. Second time, same car. The buyer didn't like that the dash rattled. I knew there was a TSB for it but hadn't gotten it fixed because I didn't care and it only happened when it was cold outside. I took it to Japanese Auto Care and told them about the TSB. I left the car with them and received a call a few hours later. They told me that they had looked up the TSB and contacted the local Lexus dealership to get more information about it. The Lexus dealership told them that it had to be done at a Lexus dealership because it involved taking apart the entire dash and replacing some fasteners and other parts. They gave me a print out of the TSB and did not charge me. I do all the maintenance on my FR-S so I don't have any experience with them working on one but they do all Japanese cars so I'm sure they have experience with it. They are honest and only use parts that are OEM or better quality. I don't think they do body work but they can probably recommend someone. Last edited by theparagon; 04-06-2016 at 02:30 PM. If you just need service or parts install/removal, hit me up. I don't do body work, per se, but I do install lips, wings, hood vents, etc. I don't have a paint boot, so I don't paint. I'm mobile. I'm booked for the next two weeks, but message me and I can see where I can fit you in.
