Just sit and idle for a couple minutes after it has warmed up. You'll hear the DI kick in.

I don't get crickets.
No, really. I only run 100% gas, no ethanol. I've put E10 in twice, and it chirped both times.

75,000 miles and never heard a cricket. I honestly don't know what people are talking about. I always use 93 octane regular old E10. Usually Sunoco because they "only" charge 40 cents more than 87 octane.
I have also used E85 also with no crickets. Guess I'm either lucky or deaf. |

This is the first time I had heard of this, and I am on the forum since 2012.
Complain to the dealer, I am pretty sure they will tell you they have never heard of it either. On a related note, I hear the revised 2017 will sound like cicadas.

Mine doesn't have crickets. I've heard them in my friend's BRZ.

Also, I remember when I first got my high-flow fuel pump in my GSX - that shit was loud and annoying. After a month I didn't even hear it anymore. |
