Note: This is just comparing output, stands to reason with the base being similar...so are the gains.

Of course, again, this system behaves more like nitrous with a refill function. But it is overall far simpler.
Thank you! Seems like vortech needs to go back to the drawing table. I will probably buy this when it comes out because of how simple it is to put on. I will at least bust most of the NA imports around here I hope.

I bet you'll be able to buy 3 e-chargers kits for the price of 1 vortech

Those numbers are old, from the 7 psi blower. The current kit puts out 9 psi. Here's old vs new blowers.

It would paint a even better picture if we were to compare at rpm ranges.
They do make power in different areas.

still valid comparo considering the e-kit uses way less Psi to do what vortech does. any kit can be fast running a lot of boost.

Considering that the design of the impeller was changed I think there's a little more involved.

However why not post what is in your favor.

I already chimed in that I thought this would somewhat work from the beginning.

We haven't sold any FI kit either. The kits we installed were purchased through Perrin and installed by us. In general we don't do many installs that take more than a few hours unless we can generate a little media off of it.

Companies like Vortech put a lot of R&D money into kits.

Over the long term any forced induction solution will have to prove itself in hot and cold daily driving conditions along with track day sessions.

I think we can all agree with two things. This product has potential and has a lot more to prove than just a few numbers.

Should have referenced this regarding comparing.

I wish I had a track around me. I would love to do that but I think it is safe to say that over 90 percent off frs brz will never see the track.

Not to say there is anything wrong with track testing, this product is dialed into a certain market and right now the tech isn't there to run full time.

This product certainly has alot more to prove. 2 weeks ago if you would have told me this was possible I would have laughed... Look where we are now :-)

So far I like this kit and it would be a better solution (for me) than nitrous. What I wonder about is how it would perform (with the new controller) on a hill? On some road trips, it can be a long up hill travel. Since the new controller would try to keep positive pressure (that's my take on the description of its main difference), how long would the battery last since the engine will always be under load? Just curious. I am very looking forward to this kit. Keep up the great work @fenton and @Toma.

You wouldn't be at 100% throttle up a hill and that's how the motor is currently triggered.

i'm with you, my car will never see a track.
I had a good friend reserve a track last week and ask me if I wanted to join.
long story short, i said no because if I wreck the car there's no insurance coverage. a guy totaled his S2000 CR.

I never would have laughed. I knew about people attempting this since high school, and I graduated over 10 years ago. Technology advanced exponentially so it's about time we can really take advantage of an electric supercharger that is available at WOT.

Daily driving in 100 degree weather will also do for a test. We have many vehicles in Houston that fit that description.
