So I test drove a '16 STI over the weekend, two things: The STI is still a damn good car, love the noise and turbo lag, just not as "sharp" as the BRZ (a few hundred pounds and AWD will do that to ya) and I've decided to skip on the RS for now and canceled my deposit since the dealer would not produce anything in writing regarding MSRP pricing.

Hoping that all the hype would die down by next year and find something at the lot at MSRP or maybe even a slightly used one

In other news, tape scratching? @Clipdat sacrilege?

Just finished watching "Stranger Things" on Netflix. Great show, highly recommended if you like sci-fi and/or paranormal.

As long it doesn't drag on like Supernatural. I stopped at Season 8.

The 100 is like a mixed of twlight/hunger games. Once you get half of season 1 or so you will then start to like the show more. It's like Battle Star Galatica.

Just ordered some Quick Latch bumper releases thanks to their promo pricing for us. No more saggy bumper coming soon!

I know its got a bit more power than when the STi first came to the US but they're still using the EJ257 aren't they? As much as I loved my 02 WRX and 05 Legacy GT I don't think I could go for the new STi knowing that they're going to have to put a new engine in it soon. Well, and I've become addicted to the lightness and handling characteristics of the FRS.

I've only watched the first few episodes of this season but I'm really surprised how much I enjoyed the 100. I watched the first couple of seasons of that when I was working in Bakersfield for a few weeks earlier this year. Between that and their DC shows who knew the CW would be so popular with both teenage girls and more mature nerds.

Correct, same old EJ257, basically the EJ255 with different heads and some slight tweaks to minimize ring land failure. Had a very similar engine in my 05 wagon when I needed an engine rebuild.

I've calmed myself down a bit since last week and will be sticking with the BRZ for now. I think the combo of pressure for my RS deposit, sticker shock and frustration with the Ford dealer pushed me back to Subaru which led to me taking a more serious look at the STI. I also considered an Evo FE, but just didn't "feel" right to me. I can't say for sure about the RS since I've never driven one, but I have driven an ST and it was nice but "meh"

Blood must have blood. I know right, I was impressed. At first I like jees I'm not sure if I'll like it's all pretty people dressed in sci-fi. Definitely for anybody else looking sci-fi try it out just got to get through the first season and half before you start liking the tv show. It gets better as the season progress. I'm currently on Orphan Black and Hannibal Season 3. Waiting for American Gods

Before I decided on the FRS I test drove the Fiesta ST, Focus ST, and Mustang GT. If I had gone with a Ford the Focus ST would have been my third choice. Everyone does seem to love the RS though. You should check out the Everyday Driver Focus RS vs. STi vs. Evo vs. Golf R video on youtube if you haven't seen it yet.
