MachMotorsport 2018 BRZ tS GT3 Time Attack Build
Hey everyone,
Introduction: I've been a car nut my whole life and a huge fan of F1. I've been in the tuner scene and modifying cars for the last 22 years (making me old, but not quite 40) and this particular BRZ makes this vehicle my 56th (maybe 57th), no joke! I've had everything from VW's, Audi's, BMW's to RX-7 Turbo's, several WRX's/STI's, and a couple Scion FRS's (The first being Supercharged). I loved my FRS's, they offered very neutral and predictable handling, reasonable power (this is a moment car, lets remember) great daily driver, reasonably inexpensive to own and just a blast to drive at the limit on the track! I had seen the BRZ tS press release and thought "Interesting" and after visiting the dealership to have my daily WRX oil change done and seeing it in person I was in love, I actually sold my track project S2000 to make it happen! My inspiration: The highly coveted Porsche 911 GT3 RS (I will own one soon) and my goal is to create Subaru's version of a GT3 RS if they were to ever make one. Having owned two 86's previously in various configurations, I figured I would take the most prized 86 (or most OEM modified to date) the 2018 BRZ tS and use that as my basis to create a "gentlemen's racecar. Lets begin... [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUZptY3O8Kw&t=3s[/ame]

One question though. Do you need to do extra work to make the seat fit? I currently have Sportster CS in my car and the space between seat and transmission tunnel is small. I'm also interested in getting SPG XL since it is more track oriented but not sure about the fitment. |
