2014 BRZ with 2200 miles, crickets appeared this week with a vengeance...my last 2 tanks were Costco gas, everything prior to that had been Shell, so I plan on going back to Shell to see if that helps. I doubt there is any ethanol-free gas near me. Ugh.

God, no. No offense but don't waste your time. Half-assed job modeling a couple parts and some BS word salad.

That's about where mine came in. Waited til around 7,000 for the HPFP swap. Then, like clockwork, 11,000 miles and a tackle and bait shop under the hood. Ethanol free for me. Crickets neraly disappear completely.

Honestly, I just DGAF anymore. E0 works 100% for me but it's a bitch to schedule around the one place that sells it.

Chalk it up to first-world problems and embrace the cosmic joke.

I bought my FRS used with 9500 miles, a couple of miles later I did start noticing these crickets coming from the engine. I took it in for service and they resolved the issue, my car now has 19k and the noise came back, I took it In again for the second time, all they told me was that they let corp know about the issue and will supposedly let me know what is causing the cricket noise. Im actually getting tired of this issue, well not tired just annoyed, its a practically a new car, I shouldn't be having to put special gas etc to have crickets disappear lol. If they don't fix the issue I think I will be getting my WRX back.

There's nothing mechanically wrong with your car. If you want the crickets to stop, get E0 gas. Problem solved.

Would be pretty stupid to be upside down on a car cause it's making a noise that you find annoying which is easily remedied by putting E0 in.

Not quite problem solved:

And E0 isn't readily available in all regions.

Lucky you. No E0 gas around for me, and others in my area. So your advice isn't applicable for all. Like telling people if they want a fast car, go by a Ferrari.
