Bent wheel

So my friends frs just got smacked, Right now we're in the process of doing body work ourselves but the rear wheel is bent inward. I was wondering if a simple alignment could fix this issue or is the Rear control arm bent and pretty much needs to be repaired? Is there any temporary fix for this? The wheel is bent inward at a decent angle

Take everything apart, inspect, and replace all parts that are not as they should be.

Know exactly what parts you need, measure parts from bolt-to-bolt on the good side, compare with bad side.

Of better yet, you are a body guy. Take it to a suspension guy.

Well, that's a shame your friends car got smacked.

I would suggest it be taken in for an alignment. The alignment shop will be able to tell what is needed to be replaced to make the wheel straight.

Then you can worry about the wheel bearings and other wheel parts being whacked out.

Detailed pictures of the suspension damage would help here.

i've heard bungie cords and ratchet straps work great too!

in fact, i've read more than a few stories of 4x4's with busted front knuckles making it out of the forest with nothing more than a log and a ratchet strap holding the wheel to the truck.
