Received news from recruiter, MEPS doesn't want to process me due to a very minor foot injury (muscle sprain essentially) from a couple of months back - even though the podiatrist I visited said I was good to go.

Recruiter is working on getting more info from them. Even though I'm not completely DQ'ed at this time, I'm not feeling too good right now.

For rust that quickly I'd say you're bordering on alchemy.

The lugs that have come with both of my winter wheels didn't last very long either, but 3 weeks is pretty nutty. Provided that they're compatible, you may be able to use your stock lugs with the new set (someone please call me out if this is terrible advice). Thankfully I was able to do so with the winter wheels on the WRX. I never cared much for those open ended lugs that stick out 3" from the wheels.

They responded saying it's not unheard of, but definitely unusual for new lugs this soon after installing for the first time, so they'll contact the manufacturer.

Can't tell 100% from your pics.. but are those Gorilla lugnuts?

If so, I have the same ones and the same issue. Although I get probably 100x the rain you do.

Yeah, I don't like the open ended ones either, that's why these seemed good (and came on recommendation from a friend). So I'm not sure what's up.

McGard Splinedrive lugnuts but could be similar materials/design.

Yeah, we had 3 days of rain. But it's California. It's not like it was hard rain for 72 hours lol.

Ahh they look nearly identical. Hope they can figure something out for you.

I'm contemplating going to aluminum lugs (rays duralumin specifically) when I switch back to my summer set in the spring. At least then rust wouldn't ever be a concern. The price is hard to swallow though...

The rust you are dealing with there means my car should be nothing but a pile of dust, plastic, rubber and aluminum laying in my driveway by now!

No, not for me. Mrs. Ho had one when I met her. She had it removed at my request. Make up, ok. Too much make up, very bad. Sometimes it seems the prettiest girls do stupid stuff. No make up needed.

You and Sapphire both got first post on a new page of the thread quoting this, so there would have been no scrolling past it possible for a bit. We'll probably end up with this posted about 100 times before we stop quoting each other.
