aren't women great?! and if you don't put yourself out, bend over backwards and endure any/every inconvenience possible to make their lives as easy as possible you're a terrible person.

She's also upset because I "yelled at her"

Apparently saying "sweetie, can we please split the hooks up a touch more evenly? I would prefer if my wet towel didn't dry on top of my house coat" in a polite, flat voice was much too aggressive for her

Better than on the floor, no?

"even" isn't a thing, by the way - at least, in my experience. What you need here is more hooks.

Time to head to the hardware store to buy some hooks.

Don't get that backwards and go looking for hookers with your hardware... that won't help the relationship...

This is coming from the same girl who screamed at me "Get your fucking jacket off the back of the chair and put it in the closet where it belongs"

Figured she would do the same thing as me, but I guess not.

In my experience more hooks just means more space for her. I have about twelve hooks up now and still get one. Also have fourteen dresser drawers of which I get one. Three closets. I get 10% of one.

I just put them up too high.

More seriously - I've figured out how much space I need, and the rule is that I get that space; if more is needed, I'll assist in getting it squared away, but taking away what I need isn't part of that.

My problem is that our closet gets pretty darned chilly in the winter; no airflow, so no heat without leaving the door open, and that's not happening because cats loooove to snuggle in carefully folded clean laundry. So instead, it's piles and bins and stuff all over the place.

I really just need to swap the door out for one that's louvered... well, i hope that's all I need. The door to the utility room in the basement also needs a swap.

whee. aren't relationships fun. Well, work anyway. They sure can be fun.

I took all the old (1976) sliding doors off our closets and replaced them with nice drapes. Got sick of the doors sticking all the time.

Did that at our old place for the laundry. Bonus was it let us double-stack so we could put a drying rack in the space. I'm surprised you didn't use hanging bead strings though... or was this done long after that was the answer?

No sliding doors where we are now. They're all MDF. Nice and heavy. This is a walk-in closet, and drapes don't stop cats... so that's not really an option. Probably... Some day I'll be un-lazy when it comes to doors. They're not really that hard to swap.

Yep, this $19. (50% off) special, is billed as a "trick drone".

It sure does do tricks alright ........ it lifts off, heads for the Christmas tree then flies under the couch .......
