Did it ever come back for you or did you end up replacing coils

Sorry for the delay. Have not been driving the car much again till recently. Code has come back twice now. Both times it has occurred when the engine is > 4500 RPM.

I am going to replace the coil and will post again with what I find.

i haven't read through the recent posts in this thread, although my understanding was P0351 was speculated to be related to header heat as it is the closest to the header. i threw it on track last year. this year i got a jdl el header which is swaintech ceramic coated. i did my first track days of the year last weekend. i'm not sure if the under hood temps end up any different, but after a 25 minute session and cool down lap, i can come park my car in the pit and touch my header. bap at it with my hand but not hold. in any case, did see the P0351. is there any actual fix for this ??

Actual fix of P035x is to replace the coil pack; however it seems to come back regularly.

Personally, I track my car, and I have replaced my coil pack last year after code P0351. The same code popped up again recently (P0351), so I am going to replace the coil pack again next week. Obviously, the original root cause of what is making the coil pack to fail is still quite unknown. People assume it is because of heat.

I will take the opportunity to change the spark plug of cylinder 1 as well, in case of...

Well after clearing my P0351 the first time, 4 months and 2 track days later, it has now popped up twice in the same week. Time to get it replaced and see how long it lasts.

P0351 poped up on my car too. 3 times in a month.
Twice while on track, a third time when speeding away from a super long traffic jam; each time: full throttle and a hot engine.

Got the 4 coils replaced under warranty, I threw in 4 new spark plugs for good measure. Hopefully I am good for another 40k miles of peace of mind.

Got the P0351 code randomly over the last 4 months, would come on and then clear itself.
Over the last month it has pretty much stayed on all the time.

I was going to bring it in to the dealer since I have 1 month left on warranty but I'm sure they would stiff me somehow, or blame it on my header.
Took about a 1/2 hour and I was able to swap it out myself. Coil cost me $100 so not bad at all, I expected over $200.

I have had this happen twice over 6 months And only when I'm pushing it real hard(street use only) I cleared it the first time and it took over 2 months for it to come back. Think i should replace this? Is it covered in 60k warranty or should I see if my dealer warranty covers? Enough to seriously worry about it?

Going to have to change the coil myself, I am tuned and have exhaust and sticky tires, assuming id be given a hard time with warranty, I plan to do it myself..

I a friend loaned me a multi meter, I am wondering if anyone knows the rating I should be looking for? I have never used one. Im going by the seat of my pants, hoping to correct the issue, ECUTEK clears it, it stays off, until i drive hard and stay in a higher rev range..

For the first time, I got repeated P0351 error codes at the track. I'd gotten them sporadically in the past, but this time the code would not stay off. This was probably the hottest track day I'd ever done, about 95-99 degrees ambient. Once I triggered the CEL, I could re-trigger it by going above 7000 RPM. Will replace the coil packs (probably heat shield them) and see if that works. Really wish I had ceramic coated my overpipe in hindsight.

My buddies and I take spare coil packs to the track with us at all times. They tend to foul at the track.

We have tried heat shielding them. No difference.
