How Side Markers Work on JDM/Non-USDM BRZ/86

I am looking to modify my USDM BRZ side markers to emulate the way they work on JDM models. I posted the question in this thread (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15178) but I guess anyone outside North America wouldn't visit that thread.

Can anyone with a JDM/Non-North American BRZ/86 confirm how the (clear) side markers work?

- When head lights are on, the side markers are off?
- When parking lights are on, the side markers are off?
- When turn signal is activated, the side marker blinks?

If someone could confirm or better yet take a quick video of the side markers in various conditions, that would be great!

BTW, anyone know how much the OEM (clear) side markers sell for in your area (dealer or online)? Here in the states, they sell for almost $100 USD, which seems crazy expensive for some plastic side markers.

Thanks in advance!

its basically just a signal light so it only turns on when you make a signal or turn on the hazard/emergency lights

here in the philippines, they cost around 2,000 pesos or less, cant remember exactly.. so thats roughly $40?

Just to confirm, the side markers do not light up and stay on when the headlights (low beams) are on, correct?

Awesome!! Thank you so much! This will be one of my first mods when I get my BRZ and I will definitely use this video as a reference. Serious oversight for Subaru to not make the side markers turn signals for North America.
