So I tried to stay off my clutch as much as possible but I think I've lowered my clutch too far (Barely below the brake pedal)
I'm going to raise it just slightly above the brake pedal now. Just a warning from me guys, the care is 250% sportier slightly below the brakes but the clutch paid for it if you ask me.

The main issue with my clutch adjustment was that once I had it at a sweet level, the nut was hidden behind the black bracket in front of the bolt, impossible to access with a wrench.
I also tried depressing the clutch fully (in order to raise the nut from behind the bracket).I tried tightening it with the wrench (only able to make about a half revolution or so before it becomes too tight. When I let go of the clutch, the nut is once again loose and able to be unscrewed by hand. I think when the clutch is depressed and tension is applied to the nut, it becomes impossible to re-tighten! How is everyone else re-tightening their nut? |

Probably my imagination or due to the fact that I kept adjusting it and had no real baseline. My last tweak seems to be the sweet spot and is holding strong. Still having crappy shifting in the lower gears during cold weather but apparently that has some to do with the stock fluid they used.

do not over adjust. One to two rotations of the shaft is all you need, less is MORE

My clutch pedal is slightly higher than the brake pedal, however I still feel some hesitation going into first, and the 1-2 shift is rough. Does anyone else have this problem? Should I readjust my clutch pedal back up toward the original setting? I love how the car feels with the clutch pedal as low as the brake pedal, but I feel like the clutch doesn't completely disengage.
Also, does anyone know if there anyway to quickly adjust the free-play amount on the top end? I feel like my clutch doesn't fully engage until the pedal is entirely up and that gets me a little worried that I am constantly slipping clutch, even with the pedal all the way up. maybe I'm just paranoid after all my adjusting lol |

Finally did mine last night. I didn't go crazy on the adjustment, clutch is still higher than the brake. Thanks everyone for making it easy! I love the change, just wish I had done it sooner.
For people having problems shifting from first to second. Is it worse in the morning? Have you changed your MT fluid? If not I would recommend changing it out. It has made a world of difference on my car. Try Pentosin MTFII 75-80. |

Yeah, the 1to2 shift is especially bad when cold...I'll try the Pentosin MTFII 75-80, thanks!

To the people that have a hard 1-2 shift when cold, can u define "cold"? Its been roughly 30f here in the mornings and i havent yet experienced this problem, just wondering if im lucky or if its not cold enough yet? Thanks

Ok. Maybe theyve corrected this in the later production ones or maybe im lucky. I keep waiting for it. It hasnt been above 50f at any time of day since i got the car and im at 400 miles all non highway. Thanks!

Took my front seat out to make adjustment because of my size, and to spare a trip to a chiropractor,...very easy to adjust. Don't know why some of you expect perfection from this or any manual transmission,....when its cold it will shift differently than when it comes up to temp,..i.e a little grind or stubborness,....no different than when an auto has different rpm shift points when cold,....geeez !
