17" stagger? [8.5 / 9.5]?

So I like my 18x8.5 / 9.5 +45 stagger

But today I hit a pothole and wondering maybe I should be running a smaller wheel and larger tire.

Right now I have 235/40 and 255/35 on 18" 8.5/9.5 stagger wheels. Street setup only, just to clarify.

I would love the same specs on 17" wheel.

Does it exist?

Yes, you could always order a custom set of wheels. But, 17 is a limited size. It is really hard to find 17x8.5 or 17x9.5 wheels. Also tires are limited. There are almost no 35 series 17s. You can easily find 17x8 and 17x9 wheels.

Common tire sizes:
215/45
225/45
245/40
255/40

less common:
235/40
265/40
