I believe that to be the case. I contacted Rob via his website, not through this thread.

Also from my understanding, the Phantom is a side project from his normal business/time interests. I too, would like to see a more transparent order/inventory system, but that would take resources that are being utilized elsewhere. I don't even know if the outstanding orders are waiting on parts or are held back for updates/improvements. I personally would like to know if the new lighter compressor wheels have the same lead time as the original. If so then those of us that want to get an upgrade to the newer version, may have to get in the back of the line, plus pay a publicly unreleased sum just to catch up to the current kit. Look at it this way, since Rob released the first versions, the Phantom has evolved to include: Drag reduction; Ignition controlled on/off; More aesthetic display; 1.5 dump pack upgrade; optional alt charger; 1.5 dump obsolete-new 1.0B dump pack upgrade; modular dual position switch/display/harness; compressor wheel upgrade; Drag reduction obsolete-two stage boost control. And that's just what I know about. If you are still interested by the time it becomes available to you, then you will receive a much higher performance, more streamlined, and less expensive product then the rest of us. Not knowing your place in line sucks, and locks you into having the funds constantly available, and also stops you from taking other upgrade options, but that is just the nature of the current product.

true, that's why I said: the available parts might be split up between them, but there in lies Cyphers' problem. We just don't know.
Agreed and well said!! this unit is so great that is why I really want to be part of it!! sorry Im a bit passionate when I get into something anyways seing all the progress that was made I sure am happy to see something that awsome getting better and better

so now Ill shut up and wait lol!!

I'm actually strongly considering a Mustang ecoboost. I drove an automagic and really liked it (besides it being automatic). I figure I'll drive it for ~2 years then get the new Miata after that. The FR-S is car #27 or #28. I want to own every car before I die lol.

good luck with it. after trying to cram the occasional friend into my backseat, I can see the appeal of a larger car, and I think the 2015 stangs look pretty sharp, do I see some jag styling thrown in? While I may be getting older and much less prone to run from the cops or kick out the back end on every corner, (my previous car was an s13), I still favor the grip and nimbleness of our little twin.. plus I don't have the funds to swap out cars every 2 years. Anyway, hope you have a blast.

Boy Oh Boy
I swear the new kit has more instant torque than the old one. There's been a few times where I give it the gas a little early out of a turn and the rear just snaps around. Cool when you're expecting it. Not so when you're not. I'm going to have to start driving with TC on. But that's a scary thought. I hate it when you expect to get power but if you get wheelspin the motor just cuts out. In the end I think that's more dangerous than spinning your wheels.

have you tried this car on an AX course or track. Either way, do you think the power kicks in....in a way that would make the car hard to predict when cornering. I AX mine about 10 times a year...it is not a DD, and I would like to have linear power delivery. The main reason why I am considering this kit, is I can remove the turbine and still race STX. But when I race with the other clubs (no class rules) I can turn it on and have more power. Anyways, just thought I would pose the question to you or anyone who has AXed or tracked an ESC car.

Has anyone thought about using this in conjunction with a turbo?

Well I just went and checked the tread on my tires. The car has been lowered and has mud flaps so you can't see the tread on the back. I felt the tread and was shocked to feel the wear bars are even with the tread. The front tires look almost like new. How did THAT happen?
The tires are Continental DW's in 235/45/17 and are less than 6 months old.
Do you believe that?
So if you are thinking about buying the kit be sure to budget in money for new tires a couple times a year or find some with better treadwear.

How much negative camber are you running in the rear. Lowering the suspension in the back adds quite a bit of neg camber. This is desirable for grip, but you have to remember to rotate them regularly. Are you tracking or AutoX on your Conti DWs? Please say no.

Regarding the map tuning with OFT, do I use the one on the website "Off-The-Shelf (OTS Maps for ESC+OFH with 1.5 Dump Pack Upgrade [USDM only]" even if I do not have aftermarket headers?
