Sounds like money 'could' be an issue. Be part of the crowd and lower it. But I'd also like to say, just don't be unique with a lip kit - stock height - stock wheels. TBH, a lip kit on these cars with stock everything else...let any of us lowered park next to you. Your $ spent on the kit will vanish.
Then again, your car your money. This could be one of those opportunities on wondering why didn't I have friends to stop me. Well, some of us could be your friends. Lower it.

^this. If you didn't specify between the lip kit or drop, this is what I would have suggested.

Money isn't really an issue, it's just that I don't like spending more than my set budget on my car during the month...my budget for the rest of this month is 2000 (spent a few hundred on Taillights, bumper light, sharkfin, and side markers already), so not enough for wheels and tires, but should be enough (give or take) for STI struts+springs or the STI lip kit...I'll do both eventually, but wanted to know which would look good first, or in other words if the lip kit would look good independent of the car being lowered...
@NissanGuy ok just to make sure I understand the process for lowering the car: get myself front and rear struts+springs (I'm looking at the STI ones), then get an alignment after installation? @JackSmiley wheels will be done soon haha just gotta do more homework on the specs I want to run...I actually don't mind the stock wheels until I can find the perfect set of wheels for the car...my three choices right now are the STI ones, a set of BBS rg-r's or a set of Enkei Raijins...I was gonna stay on 17s but after further thinking 18s would be better to cut the wheel gap if I go with the STI struts+springs (only a drop of 15-16 mm)... @MyRx nah money isn't really it, but I only allot myself a given amount on car mods per month...haha trust me, I'd love to just throw a bunch of money at the car right now to finish all the mods I have planned...both will be done in time, just wanted to know which mod experienced car guys would get done first... Thanks again for all the input, and please correct me if I'm using any terms incorrectly haha |

Then let's put your money where your mouth is and don't make it look cheap. A high rise with a lip kit better have "OFF-ROAD" badge someplace visible. Even if it's temporary.

I don't intend on making it look cheap by any means, the kit I want maybe cheaper than other ones out there but the STI front, side, and rears is the only one I want...I heard nothing but good things about the finish and quality of the STI kit from others who already have it, but if it looks cheap to some that's fine by me...

Lower it first, a lip kit or wheels with stock height looks cheesy... While a lowered car with stock everything else looks fine.
You can get away with Eibach prokits on stock shocks. I had an alignment done afterwards and was still within a acceptable camber/toe/caster specs. Springs are about $200, install yourself, spend ~$100 on an alignment and done. I rarely ever scrape with the prokit, it's really only on steep driveway entrances. So maybe you can pull off the lip kit and springs if you can handle the install. |

Cheap is in reference to how it will look, not money spent. I've seen knock off kits and they look great - granted the cars are lowered and/or wheels to finish it. Haha sorry, you said cheasy in the other post. Carry any dental floss haha

@MyRx oh ok I thought cheap in a monetary respect...but yeah I see what you all mean, it wouldn't look good with lips at stock height so I'm gonna order the STI struts and springs first then lips next
@garfull My buddy said the same thing, basically take my time with the car so I can have the excitement of new parts/projects consistently....my budget for my car and shoes is 2500 a month, only like 3 pairs of sneakers that I wanted releases this month so I have a bigger slice of that pie for the car, whatever I don't spend during the month goes back into savings to never see the light of day haha |

Definetely spread it out, getting a new delivery is always fun. I blame amazon prime for that. Youre doing very well based on what youve told. For many people your play budget is a mortgage if not more.
