Some people think the H4 was chosen due to lower CoG but that had little to do with it. The truth is there were a variety of reasons the H4 was chosen but the biggest ones were that Toyota wanted a low and long hood line for the appearance of the car and an I4 was difficult to fit due to current international pedestrian safety standards where an H4 made it easy. Also, Subaru was already developing a successor to the EJ engines which would later become the FA20 so that saved Toyota from developing a new engine as well.
I gotta say, Mazda managed some magic with the ND where the hood line of that car is basically the same as the twins despite it having an I4 but that engine is less sophisticated and makes less power so I think they were able to cut some corners to make things fit. |

If you do develop the k20/24 kit I would be interested in a trans adapter plate for the stock transmission for further savings... the stock trans should be able to hold n/a k20 power no problem... s2k transmissions are pricey

Its an inside joke bro, Im one of the first to do a LS swap and before that first in Texas to Turbo the FA20. I'm sure I have more miles with a swapped twin than anyone. I was told over and over to" just by a Corvette" on this site....btw below my CF6mech moniker it says it all......Im way, like waaay far away from the beaten path.
