Back in a handling car, but a sad goodbye to FT86

Couldn't do the civic thing. I tried, I really did. I work from home now, so I don't drive much, but when I did, it was not an enjoyable experience. As some will point out, I'm very much about buying a "toy" in cash. So, that's what I did. Paid for her in cash, and I will be out running with my fellow San Diego 86 guys/gals on their canyon runs! I can't wait! Hopefully there will be many cruses to come!!!

I might poke in from time to time, but with work picking up and no 86, it'll be rare. This has been an AWESOME site to be apart of, and I still go, "Oh look, and 86" every time I see one. They are sexy cars! Thank you!

But on to new adventures!

You sound like my cousin, but that's a beauty. You just can"t go wrong with an E36, especially a four door, too clean Hopefully, you'll come back and join the dark side again sometime lol

I would LOVE to come back to the dark side when they come down to this price or so. The 86 is a one of a kind car! No other car has it's "personality"

Thankfully, the E36 has the same idea in mind (low weight, momemtum car…althought this one is around 3100 lbs with 240 crank horse)

Hopefully, I'll meet you on a cruise in the near future!

Clean! I barely see E36's anymore. Would make for a wicked 2jz swap. Cheers.

Congrats on the E36 M3 -- good looking car! I've rode passenger in a few at the track, and I love the way those engines sound from 4500 RPM to redline. Also good choice on getting the sedan. If I needed a more practical car that I could track, I would seriously consider one.

Lol, I'm going to just be happy swapping a 5 speed in it eventually. I already figured out a parts list ()=)

I've done it on one car previously, so we'll get it done on this one.

Agreed! And that was the idea. We bought the outback for the same reason. Civic was MUCH better, but still only a two door and dull. This is a good compromise.

An e36 m3 in a automatic configuration are pretty rare. It would probably best to keep the automatic.

Seriously?

Rare because they are undesirable and sell for less than an otherwise matching 5MT car. Even if they were worth more I'd swap it because I don't enjoy automatics.

Suave, if I ever swap in a 6 speed I'll sell you my 5 speed

I basically outgrew it . Not enough room for an only car for me! I would love to get back into one eventually, but it'll be a second or third cars lol.

Thanks for the compliment! My car was spotted about 20 miles or so south of me, so she's at least back out on the road! (I sold it about 15-20 north of me) Happy about that!
