DIY Center Armrest
I have been thinking about fabricating a center armrest to go over the center cupholder. I found this add-on armrest for a Miata, looks like similar style that would fit the cutout. Anyone have a Miata they can measure and compare to dimensions of our center cut-out? If they are close in size, maybe this would be an easy mod. Otherwise, i was thinking about going to a custom upholster and fab'ing one w/ leather and red stitching.

Looks like that one that I linked wouldn't fit. The Miata handbrake is on the right side, ours is on the left, and the cutout on the armrest is on the right. Hmmm...

I'm using two folded large black bath towels from Walmart ($3+each) until someone makes a decent arm rest.

August is what I'm hearing for the official Toyota/ Scion (/Subaru?) armrest. No idea on price or anything, but probably won't be that much more than the materials needed to fabricate one, and it's guaranteed to fit.

Sorry, but the likelihood of this working and looking decent is slim to none. Just wait for the Scion dealer accessory armrest coming out this winter.
