The FN2 is the most hated CTR I thought, and for good reason, something like that would've been DOA on American shores. The only thing going for it is 2 doors.

I agree it would have been DOA as well as the EP3 version. I just find the present gen overdone on the look at me theme they ran with and would have accepted it a bit more toned down. I do thank the ones who bought it as it will give incentive to keep this model in the future.

Just that the drive Riccado Patrese gives his wife on the Jerez track in one sold me on the FN2…

Everyone can go on and on about fake vents on the CTR, but if they were real, everyone would just find something else to complain about anyway, 'wing is too big hurr durr', 'hood scoop doesn't even route to engine bay, hurr durr'.

The car sold like absolute hot cakes. The same can't be said for cars that apparently look much better. To even reinforce that, just about everywhere I go, people need to tell me they love the car.. Now that could be anything, the look, what it stands for, or it's road/track presence, but it's clear people love it despite it's FaKe VeNtS, and they love to see it show up.

It's like you didn't even look at the 2020+ CTR's, the fAkE vEnTs are gone and replaced with some smooth(brain) black plastic, or are you still gonna call those fake vents for the sake of pride.

I have always enjoyed making fun of the fake vents and rear end of the CTR but to give them credit when you came up behind one you instantly knew what it was.

Well it was either a CTR or an F22.

You would even find an F22 in a mid 90's Honda Accord or Prelude...

I can see where people may find the styling a bit much, it is very much in your face, and if you look at it wrong, it will cut you, perfect for me. I think the FD2 would've also been a wide success globally, as the CSX Type S was quite popular in Canada (RIP USA)..

And that's a bit of a throw back video, are you sure it wasn't his wife that sold you on it though?

I will say though, having driven my FK8 quite extensively now at HPDEs, autox, etc, I really don't think I'll be buying anything other than a CTR or a Civic in general for a long... long time, unless they somehow go backwards in performance and feel or I win the lottery.

I urge you to reconsider if you get a chance to give one a drive. The new chassis that is.

It's basically the torque dip of the 86 lol, easy to poke, dumb to argue.

Does the F22 come in Rallye Red though.

I do miss the days when Honda R cars looked super cool and understated. The Integra TypeR had a big wing, but overall didn’t look much different than the Integra GSR. And Honda knows understated doesn’t sell these days.

This next gen CTR will look less aggressive I’m sure, Honda had to cave and design it to be more boring to sell a few more. But did they even need to? They sell all that they make.

I don't have a problem with the CTR's functional aero, hood scoop, wing, or exhaust. I have a problem with the design of the entire vehicle. 10th gen is just a complete mess. CTR is just putting lipstick and a wing on it.

I like the design a lot. Every time I pull along side one, I can't stop looking at it and want one very badly, especially if it's tastefully modified. Someone at work has a black one with tasty CE28SLs and some aftermarket hood, tails, probably something else. Oooft it looks good

When you drive one it will be too hard to go back. Have you still not been in one?
