What? Berserk was awesome. And the outtakes were hilarious. I'm excited that they're making another season finally.

I like Berserk as well, and even the "rebuild" movies they did were pretty good (the second two being a lot better than the first one).

alright so im going to describe an anime and hopefully yall know what it is because I can't remember it. It was on netflix YEARS ago.
3 main story arcs following 2 friends starting in their boyhood/adolescent life trying to get into the mafia. 2nd arc is them as adults and the protagonist has become a hit man for the mafia and the friend is working closely with the mafia boss. mafia boss friend kills hit man friend. 3rd arc is where the hitman friend gets necromanced back and rides around in a big van or truck with a scientist and a girl and tries to defeat the necromanced beings from the mafia boss. It was a 1 season, 26 episode thing. And i swear im not making it up

Trust me it is definitely worth the watch my girlfriend told me about it and I've been hooked ever since. It's not your typical shonen it's very intelligent and mental when it comes to the fights. It's pretty long also with 148 episodes.

WHY?! It's so good.
I don't like a whole lot of anime, but I love Berserk.... That might have something to do with my irrational love for Demon's Souls/Dark Souls/Bloodborne though. (They're heavily inspired by Berserk.) A few others I like are Psycho-Pass and Knights of Sidonia. Both are on Netflix. |

I have watched the entire show and the ending actually disturbed me. Not many things I watch really stick with me like the end of that show. |

People into the mangas and the show seem to say it's not as good, but I didn't read the mangas (or any mangas, ever) and I didn't watch the show until after I saw the 3 movies. To me, the show felt really dated and ehhh after seeing the newer movies first. Loved the movies though. Not a huge anime fan, but they were some of the coolest I've personally seen. The first one is on Netflix. You'll have to look for the 2nd and 3rd. |

Looking for some new anime suggestions as I've only really watched very popular ones that crossed over to more mainstream media or ones that were all about mechs. If anyone has recommendations based on what I've liked/didn't like I'm all ears.
Liked: Everything related to Gundam Ghost in the shell Black Lagoon - currently halfway through first season, Revy OP Full Metal Alchemist - original and Brotherhood Aldnoah Zero Psychopass Anime with mechs and robots Didn't like/got bored: Naruto SAO One Piece Knights of Sidonia Attack on Titan Gurran Lagan - i understand the point was to be ridiculously over the top but it got tiresome Anime with animal or half human/animal characters Anime based around young kids or early teens I'm basically looking for giant mechs/robots, modern day or futuristic, guns or somewhat realistic weapons, and characters that are at least 20+. Red or purple haired waifus are always a plus
